I have spent the last several years learning about how process improvement, data analytics, project management and technology can improve the legal industry and access to legal services. I am eager to apply this knowledge and experience in my career.
Currently, I serve as a Customer Success Manager at Elevate Services, where I focus on helping law departments and law firms solve their business problems through innovative technology platforms and machine learning/artificial intelligence (AI).
Previously, as Associate, Legal Business Solutions at UnitedLex, I provided legal managed services and consulting expertise to Fortune 500 law departments with a focus on strategy and technology. Before that, I was an Associate Legal Solutions Architect at Seyfarth Shaw where I designed and implemented innovative business solutions for legal service delivery, legal operations, and law practice management. Prior to that, I served as ‘Innovation Counsel’ for LegalRnD at MSU Law. I helped coordinate several programs on legal technology and innovation, such as LexHacks, a legal hackathon in Chicago, and legal innovation meetups. I also helped the LegalRnD team and Career Services Office implement project management software, which improved several processes, improved internal team communications and eliminated a substantial amount of email.
As a 21st Century ”T-Shaped Lawyer” I have substantive legal knowledge and skills coupled with knowledge in business tools, technology, project management, analytics, and design. I am able to create unique solutions because I understand process and technology and I anticipate client needs when problem-solving. A client-focused approach leads to efficient and effective problem solving through lean thinking, project management, and the use of technology.
As a law student, I was significantly involved with MSU Law's ReInvent Law program, which is recognized for its focus on innovation in legal practice. During this time, I was invited to present my ideas on how augmented reality technology and Google Glass could improve the practice of law at the ReInvent Law conferences in Silicon Valley and New York, and also presented at a national eDiscovery conference before three renowned eDiscovery judges.
I was admitted to the New York State Bar in August 2015. I am a 2014 MSU Law graduate and earned my B.S. in Biochemistry from The University of Florida in 2010.
In my spare time, I explore Chicago's prevalent restaurant and social scene, obsess over cars and new technology, share new experiences with my spouse and dog, and maintain a physically active lifestyle.
